Pleiades used to do regular concerts at Rydings Special School when I worked there. A feature of these concerts was that I would usually present the singers with lots of new songs (many of which they’d never heard of) which I’d expect them to sight read. We always surprised ourselves with how good we were at this, but this arrangement of “Uptown Girl” was one of the most satisfying, because everyone got every note perfect at the first attempt (which is just as well, because the first attempt was in the concert!)
